Business Tips and Tricks, Hope Wissel

Vision Board

Happy Saturday!  I have started reading a book called “You’re Made for God-Sized Dreams: Opening the Door to All God Has For You“.  Chapter 1 was called “The More You were Made for” and it ended with the task of doing a vision board.  I looked at my vision board from last year and had an AHA moment.  Unfortunately, it was not the kind of AHA that you have when you see that you have accomplished your goals.  It was more like – hmmm, are these really MY dreams or are the practical dreams.  You know the “pat answer” you give when someone ask you what your dreams are?  Okay, so maybe you don’t – but mine were financial freedom and travel.  Yes, I did travel this year and I did pay off some debt.  These are not the dreams that get me really excited.  I started thinking about what my God-Sized Dreams really were – the things that excite me..
Then Vanessa Coppes wrote a blog that made me really want to create a Vision Board for 2014.  Here are parts of that blog:

I learned about vision boards at a very early age in my life. I didn’t realize then, that they would create a remarkable synergy around what I wanted and how I would get it.  I know now that I was using visioning techniques to help me attract the people, the places and the things that I longed for.  The use of vision boards and journals along with manifestation techniques and spirituality have yielded amazing results in my life and with other women I’ve worked with.
What is a Vision Board?  Vision boards are a modern manifestation tool combining concepts taken from creative hobbies like scrapbooking with motivational mind-mapping techniques and brand development methods used by marketeers.  In broken down English: A vision board is a collage of pictures, phrases, poems and quotes that visually represent what you would like to have more of in your life.
Why use them?  More and more people have started to share how vision boards have helped sustain their success. Vision Boards are more than creative, fun cutting and pasting of pictures. They are being credited by leaders of our time as a powerful tool for transformation.  What big dreams are you manifesting for your life and your business this year?
So, it is time for me to pull out some magazines and those scrapbooking things that I tucked away so many years ago.  It is time to create MY Vision Board with all of the things that I want more of in my life this year.  It is time to release those God-Sized dreams into the universe and make them happen….
Do you have a Vision Board that you would like to share?  Let us know what YOUR BIG dreams are?  Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!
