Today is about ME! I know you are probably thinking that my blog is always about me, right? Well today is just a little different, it is my 57th birthday. I want to reflect a little on this past year as it has definitely been a roller coaster ride…
I am grateful that after 12 days in the hospital last year, Rob is almost 100%. We spent my birthday last year, home as Rob was not feeling well. We then spent Mothers’ Day and our anniversary with him between ICU at Ocean Medical and Jersey Shore Medical Center. TODAY, we are preparing for a trip that was supposed to happen one year ago… we leave on Thursday for North Carolina.
I am grateful for my new found ETTM peeps. This has been a year of growth for me both professionally and personally. Thank you Vanessa Coppes and Lynette Barbieri for pulling together this AMAZING group of women that I now call my friends. I never would have thought a networking group would mean so much to me.
I am thankful for my Thirty One family. Prayer works and I truly believe that it with the help of these prayer warriors that I have made it through many of the obstacles of the last year. My team is AWESOME and they help me on a daily basis. I LOVE that my hostesses and customers are more than just “orders”, I have built strong relationships with many of them and they each hold a special place in my heart. It is with their help that I was able to promote to Director and begin my journey into leadership with Thirty One.
I am grateful for my Weight Watcher family. My Thursday morning 10AM group has been there through my weight loss journey trials. They have celebrated with me and they have supported me when I thought I couldn’t go on. It is with their help, the help of some AWESOME leaders that I was able to reach Lifetime before my 57th birthday! What an AWESOME gift to ME!
Last but by no means least, I am grateful for my family. I have to admit that the tears are starting to flow:
- I will start with my daughter, Belinda. She has grown into an AMAZING woman who I am proud to call my friend. It may not have always been easy growing up but through it all, she turned any adversity into a learning lesson. God could not have given me a greater gift.
- To my mom….thank you for being there this year. We are not just mother and daughter, but we are friends and I am grateful for that. The miles may separate us but I know that you are only a phone call away or a short drive to Mays Landing. Thank you for being there.
- To my dad…this year has been filled with some health issues and you have definitely brought the Social Worker back out in me. I am grateful that you are feeling better and am looking forward to another Father’s Day celebration.
- To my hubby (who probably won’t read this)…you are my ROCK! The road may be rocky at times and I may not be the easiest to live with (imagine that?) but you are always there, standing strong and supporting me. Who would have thought that 13 years ago when you “found me”, we would be husband and wife? I know you were skeptical of my “business” with Thirty One but you have become one of my greatest cheerleaders who points out opportunities to connect with new customers on a regular basis. Thank you!
There are many more people that I could (and probably should) thank or talk about from this year. It has been an AMAZING journey for me and I am looking forward to the blessings that God has for me in this new year. I can’t believe that I am actually 57 years old – okay, so it is only a number, right?
Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!
