Happy Monday! I am excited… I know, why would I be excited on a Monday, right? Well, my training for my NEW job has ended and I don’t have to be back to work till Friday. So…. I get to set up some steps to ensure that my Thirty One business is on track for the summer. AWESOME SAUCE (yes, that is my new word).
Despite my best efforts, I don’t seem to have a routine anymore. I lost it – my WAWA gig was flexible but because the hours changed every week, it was tough for me to get my mojo on. The new job has set hours – YEAH! So, I now can set-up a schedule so I can develop a routine for my Thirty One business.
Shari Hudspeth talked about “Getting Your Business Back in Shape” in a recent blog. I loved this:
Have you ever done something consistently for a long enough period of time that it became a routine? It became something you did without thinking about it? I get up and make coffee first thing every morning. I don’t wonder if I should make coffee this morning, I just do it. I started running a little over a year ago. Now I do it every day. It’s a habit. It isn’t something I have to decide to do anymore.
Okay, so I got sidetracked in so many areas of my life over the last 3 months at WaWa and other events in my life. I stopped tracking at Weight Watchers – not good. Stopped making calls in my business – not good. I let social media play a bigger part in my business then I think is healthy. It took away the personal aspect of everything. UGH! Now, probably isn’t the best time to try and get back on track since I leave in 8 days for Thirty One’s National Conference BUT I am going to make an effort this week to set up a routine.
I mean really, my calendars is really light on Home parties. I have used the excuse that summer is a busy time for everyone. The truth is that I haven’t really been doing the work to get those home parties. I had a Facebook party that was kind of a flop, so instead of letting it get the best of me. TODAY, I am messaging everyone who was invited to see if they are interested in having a party. I need to do some work to get my business back in shape.
I LOVE my Thirty One business as I am sure that many of you LOVE yours…I can get bookings! I can earn $100, $200 or more at a party! I can recruit from those parties! I can book multiple parties from each of the parties you hold! I can earn $1,000 or more in the next month or two, depending on how many parties you do!
This is my NEW mindset and my self-talk.

Here are Shari’s six steps to get your business back in shape:
- Why do you want to get more parties on your calendar? Why do you want to get your business back in shape?
- Decide to make it happen, no matter what.
- Get clear on the number of parties you want to do, and what you will do with the money that you earn from these parties.
- Commit to doing the work to get the parties.
- Schedule a one hour block to make contacts for the next three weeks.
- Make the contacts.
Go for 100 NO’s…. I know that sounds crazy BUT the more no’s that you get, the more yes’s you will get. WHY? Because you are making contacts. The bookings you get, holding the parties, and the bookings from those parties (which will be much easier) will excite you and you will have a fresh enthusiasm for your business.
