It has been said time and time again, that simple recognition is a fantastic reward that provides continued motivation for future tasks. Some may not be the TOPS in Sales, Parties or Recruiting. Maybe they just do enough to stay active. Maybe they had their first party. Maybe they had a “non-sale” victory that they shared with you. All of them have reason for being on my team – even if we don’t know what it is, God knows!
Top performers are typically motivated by doing excellent work and producing something that impresses others. Yes, I do CELEBRATE my top performers in special ways – usually on a quarterly basis. Facebook posts on their personal page, shout outs on our team page and even “special happy mail” are all ways that REWARD those top performers.
Some may say my happy mail is silly. Others may just toss it aside seeing it as a waste of time and money to even send it. Then there are those who need that little bit of positive encouragement…

Each piece of happy mail includes a piece of candy, a toy from the dollar store or maybe even something they can use in their business (post its, a pen, etc). Nothing really expensive but a nice way for everyone to feel like they are part of the team. You never know when one of those team members could become a ROCKSTAR!
