Happy Monday Morning!

Today’s post is from a fellow Thirty One Leader, Daylene Beyers.  I asked her if I could reprint it because it touched my heart and I hope it touches yours on this Monday morning…

I am loving the fall-scented candles I’ve been using to make my house feel cozy and serene!! Every morning I’ve been lighting them and intentionally putting myself in “the mood”. ❤️ (No, not THAT mood! 😉😂) The feel-good, wanna-get-up-and-live-joyfully mood!

Anyway, today I went to light my candle and I couldn’t get it to stay lit. The wick was buried. Only a tiny bit remained above the surface of the wax, and every time I tried to light it on fire, the wax would melt and quickly snuff it out.

In order to light it successfully I had to dig out the excess wax around the wick first. And when I did, how easy it was to light it!

God speaks to me in the simplest ways sometimes. And this morning his message was loud and clear.

I am the wick.

The things I do are the wax.

The wax is needed for the candle to glow.

And the things I do, like coaching women in the job I love, those things are necessary too because not only does my career put food on the table, it fulfills me. Gives me a sense of purpose. Helps me “glow”!

But…
If I get myself too busy…

If I allow the wax (tasks) to build up too much…

If I work so much there’s no time for me, or the other things which are important…

Like my God, my family, my “air”…

Then it will be impossible for me to shine my light. Because I’ll be suffocated myself.

It’s all about finding balance.

Between the wax and the air.

The world we need to encourage and the God our encouragement comes from!

It’s hard for God to light a wick when it’s buried.

Let’s “dig ourselves out” this week so our lights can shine!

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

How To Design a Holiday Gallery Wall

Happy Monday!  I am grateful to Thirty One for sharing these holiday ideas with us.  I may be crafty but I definitely “flop” when it comes to organizing photos or wall art.  Mine never seem to blend which is why I usually wait for my daughter to visit to help.

Whether it is for your own home or as the perfect personalized gift, switching out seasonal wall art makes for a festive holiday home – in a snap!  I would never think of doing this but it makes so much sense!  We decorate the house for the holidays, why not change out the pictures too?  The Statement Canvas Wall Art is available in two sizes and can put a little holiday in your halls.
Cheerful holiday colors showcase this wall art as something special – and seasonal. Mark a little one’s first Christmas with a gorgeous custom gift or share a sweet holiday sentiment filled with joy.  More ideas: Think of Christmas-themed songs, hymns and poems for inspiration, or pick a fun phrase.

  • Get your jingle on
  • Have yourself a merry little Christmas
  • Joy to the world
  • Comfort & Joy
  • Holly Jolly
  • Dear Santa: Define “good”

Thinking of leaving things up for the winter instead of just for the holiday season?  Pick cool blues and frosty hues to personalize your home décor for winter. Messages which celebrate the season make great gifts for families of any background and have the greatest longevity for displaying each year!  What is your favorite (or theirs) holiday song? You can find inspiration in a section of lyrics from a classic winter song:

  • In the meadow we can build a snowman
  • Fa la la la la (la la la la)!
  • Merry & Bright
  • Jingle all the way
  • All is calm, all is bright

No matter where you call home, you can welcome your guests (and Santa!) with customized wall art which speaks to you and your family. Are you a military family?  We have some awesome suggestions on how to keep “your home” close to your heart and showcase to your friends.  More phrase ideas:

  • Home for the holidays
  • Santa’s Workshop
  • [Name]’s Christmas Tree Farm
  • Santa, stop here!
  • All hearts come home for Christmas

We know the reason for the season so why not display or gift a beautifully printed Bible verse as a keepsake for Christmas.  Use their favorite verse, or inspire someone who is struggling.  Here are some more ideas:

  • Matthew 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced
  • Luke 2:10 Behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people
  • Luke 2:12 Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger
  • Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given

Whether you need a seasonal display or are going to leave it up year round, Thirty One has somethings to fit all of your needs.

Thirty-One is NOT just totes and purses.  We have a variety of home décor you can customize for even the most difficult person on your holiday list.   You can also customize throw pillows, decorative tins and rustic wood pieces (Close to Home tray).

Need help with the perfect gift?  I am happy to help.  Have a budget?  Let me help you find the best deal.  Who is the hardest person to buy for on your gift list?

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

Happy Labor Day

The official end of summer.  For many the school year started early, for others it is the last few days before the new school year.

Do you know why we celebrate Labor Day? Honestly, I never really got it. How could I relate to the “labor movement”. WHY was Labor Day created?

Labor Day was created by the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Did you know the world of not only direct sales but self-employed individuals is growing every day and making a HUGE impact on the world.  For years, we didn’t think of direct when we thought of the labor or workforce of this country.  We immediately thought about those who tirelessly work everyday to support and provide for their families. I thought about all of the phenomenal women I have met on my Thirty One journey who have been an inspiration to so many.

Our founder, Cindy Monroe, whose vision opened the doors for many to change their own  lives.  These women not only started their own business, reached for the stars and made their dreams come true – they shared the gift with others. As their teams grew, the lives they touched were not only their recruits but their customers, hostesses and their communities. They shared our amazing products and their “WHY” so others could begin to dream. My Sponsor, my Director but most of all my friend, Hope Shortt helped me to see the potential in myself and has encouraged me along the way. Her love and support has helped many of us to strengthen our walk with God so we are able to provide for our families with this “purse gig”. The women on my team who despite personal challenges are overcoming obstacles to provide additional income for their families. Thirty One CELEBRRATES – ENCOURAGES – REWARDS those in the community as well who are not a part of our Thirty One family by giving back in so many ways. Today on Labor Day, let’s celebrate the military who protect us everyday giving their life for our freedom; the company workers who go to work every day to support their families and the entrepreneurs who dreamed BIG and are working to change lives by owning their own business.  Let’s CELEBRATE everyone who works tirelessly to support their families.

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

On the Road to National Conference

By the time you see this post, I will be on my way to National Conference.  A road trip with two girls from my team and my momma.

What is National Conference and why should YOU go to yours???

National Conference is the biggest party of the year and creates the most amazing energy and excitement.  It is an opportunity to not only meet other consultants, but it is also a chance to fill your cup.  Many of us spend all year filling the cups of others with little time for ourselves – this is your opportunity!

This year over 7,000 Thirty One consultant will converge on Columbus, Ohio to paint the town PINK!  The welcome in Columbus is AMAZING.  I am always surprised to hear there are actually people who have never heard of Thirty One Gifts.  REALLY??

You will want to bottle up the energy so you can take it home to pour on yourself and others when we lose momentum?  It won’t be long and we will be heading into the busiest selling season of the year, so you want to ride the National Conference Wave all the way into the fall.

Did you know????  These are the stats from last year’s Thirty One Conference.  Although the numbers may vary, the same rings try in all direct sales companies.  Individuals who attend conference, are overall more productive during the year.

Attendees, on average, submit more Personal Volume after attending Conference:

New Consultants – extra $2,753/year
Tenured Consultants – extra $1,948/year
Attendees, on average, have more parties after attending Conference:

New Consultants – extra 4.9/year
Tenured Consultants – extra 3.2/year
Attendees, on average, recruit more after attending conference:

New Consultants – extra 1/year
Tenured Consultants – extra 1/year

In addition:

95% of those who attended the Conference 2016 were still active as of October 2016 compared to 69% of those who did not attend  Those who attended Conference last year were 5.1 times more likely to promote. So to summarize, Consultants who attend Conference are overall more productive – more active – more engaged.

And don’t you want this for you and your team?

IMG_2013.JPG  So, what can you do to get ready?

Prepare in Advance

I know this sounds like a no-brainer, right? BEFORE you go to conference, you want to decide what you want to accomplish in the three months following the conference.  What will you need to make it happen?

If you are a leader? Take some time to help each of the people attending conference to prepare their plan, too. When you come home loaded with the tools to accomplish your personal goals, you will be catapulted into action.

Be Focused at Conference

Conference is filled with LOTS of information and it can be overwhelming.  If you have a plan for where you want to be in 3 months, it will help you to focus your attention on what YOU need to learn and grow in the areas to make your plan a reality. If your goal is to recruit, gather tips on recruiting. Introduce yourself to the top recruiters in the company and spend time with them. Prepare a few questions about recruiting in advance to ask the people you meet. When you narrow your focus, the information you receive will be less overwhelming.  If your focus is on more sales, look for those who are tops in sales or in hosting parties?  Get some fresh ideas.  Be willing to step out of your comfort zone to try some of the things you learn.

Follow Up

Here are some tips from successful leaders on how to help YOUR team move forward with the information they gathered at National Conference.

  • Create a plan to put the ideas you gathered to work before you get home and get caught back up in life.
  • Schedule time to make follow up calls to your conference attendees the first week back. Help them get started right away so they don’t’ lose their momentum.
  • Have a meeting or team conference/Zoom call scheduled a few days after the conference. Ask each person who attended to share their three best ideas. This will recognize those who attended the conference, help them focus what they learned and the rest of the team will catch the conference wave, too.

National Conference is a big investment for you and your company. Make it make a difference in your life (business and personal) by planning and following up!

Who is going to their National Conference and where is it being held?

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

What Animal Would You Be?

Happy Monday….. suitcase is now in the bedroom and the hunt for what to pack has started.  We leave EARLY Thursday morning for Columbus for Thirty One’s National Conference and I can’t wait to be back in my pink bubble.  I will try NOT to flood my Facebook and blog posts with everything PINK – who am I kidding, of course I will.  Yes, I squirreled…

I started a class at church last week on finding my passion and my spiritual gifts.  Lots of new people and Pastor asks this same question every time as an ice breaker.  I usually cringe because I can never think of an animal to describe me.  I was grateful he started on the opposite side of the table which gave me time to think (and ask for God’s help) about which one I would pick.

First choice was a teddy bear – okay, maybe not technically an animal but it really would fit me.  Teddy bears are soft, cuddly and provide comfort for those who are struggling. This is what I love to do – give hugs and provide support for those around me.  But as I sat there and thought about it, God placed another animal on my mind….

A butterfly.  This one took a little bit more thought, I mean how was I like a butterfly.  I asked for the words and here is what I heard:

You help to transform women who are struggling by inspiring them to fly.  Spreading their wings to find themselves and reach for their goals.

WOW!  It is true!  It is my passion and desire!  Whether it is starting their own business, coaching them in their current business, helping them battle nasty inner gremlins or help them to see themselves as others see them – transforming lives is how I want to make a difference.  When I shared it, those who knew me in the room all shook their head “yes”.

What about you? What animal would you be?

When I came home, I started thinking about the transformations in my life.  I need to remember I deserve to be happy, truly happy with a joy from within.  I need to believe in myself just as others believe in me.  I need to see myself through their eyes.  I need to embrace the transformation –  Feel it. Believe it.  And know I deserve it.

What about you?  Are you living your life as the “animal” you would be?  If you aren’t happy as the animal you are now, how would you change it?

I want you to remember success is always within your reach.  There will be struggles but it simply means there are lessons to be learned.  Your  journey is yours alone but others can learn from it.  Comparison is not in the plan.

I am on my way of emerging from the cocoon and becoming the beautiful butterfly ready to fly inspiring others.  Give it a chance, what have you got to loose.  You deserve to have all of the blessings waiting for you.  I can’t wait to celebrate your successes.

Share you animal with us and why..

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!
