Be Intentional!

WOOHOO!  The New Year has arrived…. some are nursing hangovers this morning while others are looking forward to enjoying another day off with friends and family.

I’m ready to kick off 2018 with my ONE WORD – INTENTIONAL!

So why did  I pick this word?  Believe me I didn’t pick it, God placed it on my heart.  Last year was all about being accountable. I will admit in being accountable I had MANY moments when things were done by the seat of my pants.  The end result always seemed to work out BUT I wanted this year to be different.

By definition “intentional” means done on purpose; something deliberate.  Intentional means you are purposeful in word and action. It means you live a meaningful and fulfilling life – whatever it is to you. It means you make thoughtful choices in your life. It means you actively interact and engage in your life.

In being “intentional”, I have begun planning for 2018.  Check out some of the NEWNESS coming…

  • The January Edition of my NEW Customer Newsletter is ready to go.
  • Monthly Customer Appreciation Online BINGO events are set up
  • New logo to “brand” myself and my business
  • Changes in blogging schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday only)
  • Monthly themed Facebook Parties (mystery hostess)
  • Give Back with Me Monthly with random acts of kindness
  • Focus on Fundraising and Giving Back to the Community (especially kids)

Looking back over my “one word”, I realize God has been answering my prayers, in his time not in mine.  My vision is to make a difference in the life of others but I needed to grow personally before I could do this…

My first year selecting “one word” was In 2013 and my word was FAITH.  Faith to believe when the way is rough and faith to hang on when the going is tough will never fail to pull us through and bring us strength and comfort too. Helen Steiner Rice. “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20

FAITH led me to my word in 2014 which was EMBRACE.  The goal was to EMBRACE all of the blessings God had in store for me.  I needed to have FAITH before I could EMBRACE the me everyone else saw – confident, thinner, and some might even say fun.  I learned to EMBRACE challenges as blessings without a visit from Doubtful Debbie or Negative Nellie.

Having FAITH and moving forward as I EMBRACED the blessings in my life, I had to learn to TRUST in 2015!  Learning to lean on God for ALL things and TRUST him to direct my path was probably the toughest for me.  I had to learn to stop taking control when things didn’t go my way.  God is in control and I TRUST he will direct my path. I grew in my FAITH, knowing God will provide for my needs.

The inner gremlins were rearing their ugly head so in 2016, my word was CONFIDENCE!  I needed CONFIDENCE to believe when the way was rough and the going was tough.  CONFIDENCE as I learned to live with my recent diagnosis of MS.  CONFIDENCE as I squashed the inner gremlins which had haunted me all of my life.

Then in 2017, it was all about being ACCOUNTABLE.  Being accountable meant in all areas of my life not just my business. It meant watching what I ate, working my business as a business. Most of all, it meant being fully transparent in my relationships which was scary as HELL!

All of these lead me to this year of being INTENTIONAL!

Whatever your word is for this year, I wish you a safe, healthy and Happy New Year.  May this year bring you everything you desire….

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

December Kick Off

Did you open your newspaper today to find lots of Black Friday sale circulars, each one luring you their store with unbelievable sales, and early opening?  Yes, I will look at the circulars to see what there is and I might actually venture out in the LATE afternoon to see if there is anything left but most of my shopping will be done online with other direct sellers this year.

Thirty One is kicking off the December customer specials starting TODAY!  These are some of the BEST specials I have seen during the holiday season.  The Littles Carry Alls and the Mini Zipper Pouches for $5 are a great teacher gift.  Fill the Littles with a box of tissues, some hand sanitizer and a gift card.  Or maybe get a mini zipper pouch and add a gift card to their favorite coffee place.

I am most excited about the addition of the Savvy Sleeve, the Glamour Case and the Around the Town tote to the December sale.  The Around the Town Tote is one of the BEST deals.  This bag retails for $78 and did you know you can get TWO bags for less than the cost of just this bag.  Spend $35 (on anything in the catalog) and get an Around the Town Tote for $25.  The BEST part is you can pick a second customer special.  You can pick any one even another Around the Town Tote.

Did you know there is still get FREE and discounted products?  I know you think you are too busy to host a shopping event BUT you can do it in just 31-minutes on Facebook.

I will send you a hostess packet so you can share it with your local friends, family and co-workers. PLUS everyone who orders or hosts a party, will be invited to my VIP Customer Appreciation BINGO event (online) where $200 in FREE products will given away.

So, let’s recap what you get for just gathering 6 orders (all it takes for a $200 party):An average Facebook party (with a little help from you) is about $600 which gives you the chance to take advantage of the December Hostess Special:

How many people could you check off your holiday gift list with the free and discounted products you earn for hosting a party? Maybe even treat yourself to something special.

Have you been crunching numbers to figure out YOUR holiday budget? No time for a part-time job? You work full-time? Are a mom taxi 24/7? What if I told you, you could earn up to $1000 and be able to have a debt-free holiday? Impossible right? You are thinking not enough hours in your day….. I may be able to help with an investment of just $99:

Share the catalog with friends, family and co-workers. You would do it anyway if you were hosting a party, right? Why not get paid to help them do their holiday shopping? What is the worse that could happen? You have ALOT of your holiday gift shopping done with just an investment of $99. OR, you could make some money, earn some free product and enjoy a stress-free (okay, maybe not totally) holiday season.

Which would you like to do?

#1 Shop for the things on the holiday gift list. Spend $35 and get your choice of TWO: mini zipper pouch or little carry all for $5, the glamour case for $10, a Savvy Sleeve for $15 or the Around the Town Tote for $25.

#2 Gather some friends (via online, Facebook, home, or for coffee/drinks). Earn FREE and discounted products.

#3 Join my team and earn money (and products) for a stress and debt-free holiday season.

The choice is yours? Which will it be?

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

Business Tips and Tricks

BINGO!!!!!!!

I am getting ready for another Vendor BINGO event..

BINGO is a great way to build your business with friends as well as turn those “boring” home or Facebook parties into a happening event!

I am using BINGO as a way to encourage my customers to place orders and have some fun all from the comfort of their home.  All customers who place an order during the month of October will be able to play BINGO with us LIVE on Facebook in November for a chance to win over $200 in FREE prizes.

I posted this in my VIP group on how guests/customers will earn FREE BINGO boards and a chance at $200 in FREE product…

Earn you NOVEMBER bingo card by doing any or all of the following in October:
** Place a $34.99 order or less, earn 1 card
** Place a $35 order or more, earn 2 cards
** Host an October party, earn 3 cards
** Book a party for November (before 10/30/17), earn 3 cards
** Join my team (before 10/30/17), earn 5 cards.

At the end of the month, I will mail out actual BINGO cards with an invite to join me LIVE on Facebook on Sunday, November 12th at 8PM.  This will be a closed event only available for those who earned BINGO boards.  Everyone who joins LIVE will earn a FREE board for December’s game.  See the ripple effect to keep orders coming.  We will play 5 games of BINGO with each game winner earning FREE product from my stash.  I have LOTS of stash!

The night of the party…..I will go LIVE and before each game starts, I will show the prize they are playing for.  I will be using current products as giveaways so it is a fun way to let people see products and maybe even place more orders.  If enough people place orders, I will draw a winner for the hostess benefits.  All of these for placing an order during the month.

This game works for you in so many ways!!

  1. It gets people excited and interacting in your FB party or VIP group.
  2. If you post it the night before the party, you can also remind them to come back the next night to join in the fun LIVE.
  3. You are encouraging people to place orders which helps you to reach your goals.

The next day, send a message to everyone who played,  and thank them.  DO NOT sell or offer anything, just reach out to say thanks.

There are so many ways to change this up to fit YOUR business.  Can’t wait to see how it works for you….

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

Tasty Tuesday Recipes

Saturday Spotlight: Tastefully Simple

Today’s spotlight is on a company whose products I use ALOT!  Tastefully Simple offers amazing products and meal / entertaining solutions which are simple and delicious. Matter of fact most products require 2 ingredients or less to make them. They also have a huge variety of TS Eatwell products containing nothing artificial. Say hello to Lisa!

My name is Lisa Maglione and I am a Team leader with Tastefully Simple. Over the past 2 years, Tastefully Simple has provided me with many amazing opportunities.  I am a Law Enforcement Wife and have two beautiful children Anthony 4 and Brianna 2. My son has Autism and Tastefully Simple has made it possible to pay for many of the expenses we have. I am am so grateful I can work around my husband and children’s crazy schedules. Lastly, I am beyond grateful for the friendships and relationships I have with my fellow team members and customers. I love helping them make their dreams a reality and filling all of my customers needs and wants through our products.

Here are some personal favorites:

Seasoned Salt– my favorite way to eat cucumbers. I mean let’s be honest, cucumbers don’t have much taste. The seasoned salt gives them a little ZIP with just a taste of salt. I hear it is AWESOME on popcorn too but I haven’t tried it yet. I should say, I tried to sprinkle it on but since I use “no butter” microwave popcorn, there is no way for it to stick. I am think I might try microwaving my own popcorn and sprinkle some on BEFORE it pops. Could be interesting.

Onion Onion is the BEST way to add the onion flavor to a recipe WITHOUT the mess of chopping and crying. I use it is my meatloaf ALL of the time. I use it in chili and in my tuna salad. Who would love added onions to recipes without all of the chopping and burning in eyes.

Fiesta Party Seasoning is my quick solution to a lack of salsa in the house because I always seem to have diced tomatoes around. So instead of mixing the fiesta party dip with mayo and sour cream, I use a little in the diced tomatoes for salsa in a minute. I tend to make it too spicy for hubby but I love it! I can also use it as salad dressing to change it up a little bit. Of course the Simply Salsa makes a better salsa.

Corn & Black Bean Salsa is my all time favorite. I could sit and eat the whole jar with some chips or on a salad. I have even mixed some with quinoa and added some veggies for a light dinner.

I was introduced to Magic Chicken which is AMAZING!  Here is the recipe:

ingredients
4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs or any combination of the two
2 cups water or chicken broth
4 tablespoons Onion Onion™ Seasoning
2 teaspoons Garlic Garlic™ Seasoning
1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt (optional)

directions

  • Place the chicken in your slow cooker; add remaining ingredients.
  • Cook on LOW 5-7 hours, until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165°F on an instant-read food thermometer and shreds easily.
  • Shred the chicken. Package in 1 quart freezer bags, about 2 cups of chicken per pack.
  • Makes about 8 cups.

Serving Suggestion: Use prepared chicken for casseroles, stir in any of our sauces for a pulled-chicken sandwich, top salads, add taco seasoning for chicken tacos, the ideas are endless.

I made this with just one pound of chicken breasts and wish I had of made a larger amount.  The chicken was tender – melt in your mouth.  I froze what was left with some barbecue sauce for hubby to have for dinner.  Quick and easy with some quinoa and fresh string beans.

Lisa can help you with all of your Tastefully Simple needs.  Want to try some yummy products and have a fun night out?  Join us for Christmas in July BINGO on July 13th

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!
