Claiming the Blessing

2015-04-14 17.40.37

Was your June a bust?  Did you have an AWESOME May and then sales slumped in June?  The”J” months can be tough if you are not prepared and we are rolling right into another one, right? What do you want to be different?  Are you wishing and wanting for success or are you making it happen?  Are you casting the “I wish” vision or are you claiming the blessing?  Believe me the difference in our words can make a difference in what the Universe gives us.

Why am I so sure that this positive claim works?  I have seen countless people cast the vision and claim the blessing.  I have seen team members reach for a goal, claim it and then achieve it.  I was one of them the year that I promoted to Director with Thirty One.  I have shared the struggles, the tears and the successes of the last two years.  In the last few months I have learned so much.  Why?  Because I BELIEVE that my dreams are obtainable.  Better yet, I have CLAIMED them.  How did this amazing transformation occur?  No, there is no magic wand.  It took being coachable.  I was open to change and willing to learn.

So many people helped in the transformation to Hope 1.5 on the way to Hope 2.0.   The women of the Entrepreneurial Think Tank for Women who started the transformation of this “shabby chic” momma into a “real” business owner.  The Beacon of Hope Leadership Retreat with Hope Shortt and Becky Spieth broke down the final barriers.  Then I was ready to accept the coaching from: Britt Bolnick, In Arm’s Coacching, Desiree Wolfe with her Rebel Mamapreneur Think Tank, and Eryka Peskin, Abudance Coach and Fierce Cheerleader.

Remember that you deserve to be happy, truly happy with a joy that comes from within.  Believe in yourself just as others believe in you.  See yourself through their eyes.  You are AWESOME. Feel it.  Believe it.  And know that you deserve it.  Here is a great way to do that: practice visualizing where you want to be every day, then take the steps to make it a reality.  I wrote a letter to Hope 2.0 telling her how proud I was of all that she had accomplished in her business:

Dear Hope 2.0:

I am so proud of all that you have accomplished in the last 5 years:

  • Your office  is organized.  I am glad that you finally have a part-time assistant to help with the busy work.  The family room looks AMAZING and I know that your team loves hanging out with you and learning all of your great business tips.
  • Where did you say your last cruise went to?  WOW!  I know hubby loves the fact that you can take a vacation every year and you treat.  What a great way to say thank you to him for taking care of you every day.  Of course, those mini getaways are nice too.  You can never have enough of them.
  • You got to walk the stage as a Senior Director.  The best part was that hubby was there to greet you along with Belinda.  I know you cried because he never wanted to enter into the pink bubble but he was so proud of you.  He finally sees your business as a business
  • Your calendar is full with home parties & events.  Your hostesses are scheduling their next party when they close their current one because your calendar gets so full
  • Your Annual Hostess Appreciation party has become the talk of the town.  In 5 years, it is the must attend end of the year event
  • The many charities that you have helped with your seasonal events for kids and families are a blessing.  Don’t forget the multiple fundraisers you hold every month.  Not only are you helping organizations find discretionary money but you are also helping people who are struggling. You never forget where you came from – a homeless, addict who just wanted to please everyone.  By remembering, you are able to encourage others
  • You have inspired so many on your team to reach for their dreams, to overcome their inner gremlins and as a result their lives are changed forever
  • Your willingness to share your office systems, your party ideas, your presentations and even allow consultants to tag along with you even if they are not on your team is a great example of a leader.

I want you to remember that success is always within your reach.  There will be struggles but that simply means that there are lessons to be learned.  Your  journey is yours alone but others can learn from it.  Comparison is not in the plan.

I am on the road to being Hope 2.0.  I am not waiting for “when” or “if”, I am claiming the blessings NOW.  I have seen things change in my business since I did this exercise – thank you Eryka. Give it a chance, what have you got to loose.  You deserve to have all of the blessings waiting for you.  I can’t wait to celebrate your successes.

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day.

Blogging in Direct Sales

comfort-zone

TGIF!  Can you believe that another week has gone by?  What did YOU accomplish in your business this week? CELEBRATE without qualifiers.

I am celebrating that I have blogged for 804 days and I am awesome at sharing my strengths, hopes and experiences.

Thank you Eryka Peskin for showing me how to celebrate my successes! So, many people ask me “why should I blog”, “what will I say”, and the best one “will people read it”.  My answers are always the same..

When Vanessa Coppes challenged me, I asked the same questions.  For those that know the story, I did it as a challenge that had an accountability factor to it.  My original why was to clear my head of “stuff”.  I tell new recruits to just keep asking me questions because I don’t know all of the stuff that is in my head. Sometimes I amaze myself.

As I look back on my blogs, there is a lot of negativity associated with sharing personal struggles and business tips.  A new Thirty One year and a NEW attitude.  The changes actually started after our Leadership Retreat combine lessons learned there with several counseling sessions with a therapist/life coach and some kick butt coaching with Britt Bolnick, and Eryka Peskin for a new emerging style.  I am still sharing my strengths, hopes and experiences but it feels different.

Okay, I squirreled for just a moment.  The truth is the best way to blog is to blog about something you know.  For those in direct sales, there’s nothing better to write about then sharing your amazing products and their uses.  Share what you learned at National Conference or at a training session or tools that work in your business. You are not selling, you are sharing your knowledge. Some of my learning lessons may seem like no-brainers but I am a slow learner. I always say that is because I am OLD, you know creeping towards that Senior Citizen classification.

Will people read it? YES! I am amazed and humbled by the people who follow my blog.  The biggest smile comes when I get a new Twitter follower.  Why? Because the only things that I tweet about are my blog and some of my posts on Facebook.  So, for me, the excitement of sharing my blog with more people means sharing my business with more people.  You may not become a professional blogger. You may not have thousands of readers. What you may have are friends, family, employees, team members or followers who not only read what you write but will share it.  They are sharing your business which is potential customers, hostesses and team members.

Do I look at my blog dashboard to actually see how many people open my blog? NO!  It is the old adage “what I don’t know won’t hurt me”.  I measure my success by the personal emails and the comments that are shared about how lives or businesses are transformed –   these are the things that touch my heart.

Direct selling is all about building relationships. I am building relationships every day through my blog.  Some I already know while others are learning who I am. When all is said and done, if I have helped one person to smile or get through a day – my job is done.

What do you have to share? Remember it takes 21-days for something to become a habit – so try it everyday for 30 days. Then, if you want, do it weekly. Try it. Don’t let fear stop you from building relationships or sharing your knowledge. Believe me you probably have more to share then you think – I know that I do.

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day

ID Life

Today’s Saturday Spotlight is IDLife.  I first heard about this company at a vendor event before it even launched.  The consultant tried VERY hard to get me to sign up but I am always skeptical about any ground floor opportunities especially those that haven’t launched.  I was just not looking for “healthy” or supplements because I didn’t think that I needed them.

Fast forward to an ETTM workshop where I had the pleasure of meeting Val Ryan.  Val is a Founding Member of IDLife and we started to build a relationship, a friendship. Val didn’t try to sell me.  My hubby by this time was spending hours researching vitamin supplements and he had set up a regime that seemed to be working for both of us.

Val asked me to take the online assessment.  I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was AND that the results of the assessment were the same as what it took hubby hours, days and weeks to research.  Think of the time he could have saved.  LOL.

So, here is a little about IDLife:

For the last 18 years, a group of scientists and doctors have worked on developing a one-of-a-kind nutritional supplement program that takes all the guess work out of what your body needs. The result is a truly personalized, pharmaceutical grade nutrition, with your name on it, delivered monthly to your door. Through answers you provide on the IDAssessment, IDNutrition recommends what your body needs, leaves out what you don’t, and blocks things known to the system to have a negative effect.

Vitamins are taken in AM / PM doses, so that the proper nutrient is delivered to your body at the right time of the day, for best absorption. And costs stay down as the vitamins are packed in strip packs rather than having to manufacture expensive plastic bottles.  Such a great idea for those that travel.

IDLife does not make any medical claims but many people have shared testimonials of increased energy and mental clarity, as well as  just overall feeling better. There have been some dramatic results reported as well since people have been on IDNutrition – they have gone off blood pressure medication, their migraines have lessened or have completely subsided, and some diabetics have either lowered or stopped their insulin use.

IDLife has another popular product too called Sleep Strips which are:

mint flavored, natural & organic sleep aid that incorporates a tri–phasic approach to help you fall asleep quickly, stay asleep, and most importantly, keeping you in a deep sleep, all while waking up rested and refreshed the following morning. People have reported that they have walked away from prescription medication sleep aids all together and love the fact that they do not wake up in a fog the next morning.

All IDLife products are natural, organic, non-GMO, and gluten/soy/casein free. Take your free, HIPAA compliant health assessment today at www.IDLifeJersey.com for your own customized nutritional recommendation.

For more information, email Valerie Ryan at IDLifeJersey@gmail.com.
