Diaper Bag or Travel Bag?

Happy HUMP DAY!!!

Thirty One’s City Park Diaper Bag is AMAZING!  Okay, I no longer have little kids (patiently waiting for grand kids) but I LOVE this bag.

I wish I had something like this when I was commuting 4 hours a day round-trip to work.  It would have made my life so much easier.

The City Park Diaper Bag has all the functionality of a large diaper bag (for busy mommas), but the modern style of an urban tote.   It has lots of interior and exterior pockets, including a thermal zipper pocket and hidden cell phone pocket. Carry it as a tote, or sling it over your shoulder with the adjustable crossbody strap.

Key features include:

  • Nylon exterior with coordinating Runway Mini Dot polyester lining
  • One interior thermal zipper pocket and six elastic pockets
  • Five exterior flat pockets; one with magnetic closure
  • Exterior hidden cell phone pocket
  • Faux leather handle grip
  • Adjustable crossbody strap
  • Zipper closure
  • Monogramming and personalization options available
  • 15″H x 16.25″L x 6″D
  • 12″ handle drop

This bag is AMAZING! I am not a mother, so did not purchase it with the intention of using it as a diaper bag. I have used it as a carry-on for travel, and as an overnight bag so far. I LOVE organization in a bag, and this brings it in spades. So many pockets both inside and out to keep my stuff from being stuck in a bottomless pit. I am so happy they went with a light-coloured interior on this bag, as it keeps it bright when digging for items. It fits a Super-Swap-It pocket PERFECTLY in the middle of the inside, which adds for even more organization. And cell phone pocket?! THANK YOU!!! The shoulder straps are long enough for a nice hang placement, and comfortable to wear. I found the crossbody extremely useful when we were running through the airport trying to catch our next flight. Plus, it’s GORGEOUS! The nylon fabric is nice, wipes well, and the vegan leather detail on the bottom and handles is a beautiful touch.

These pictures were posted with the review to show you how AMAZING it it.  It even fits under the seat in front of you when it is FULL!

So whether you are a busy momma with children or headed to the gym or like to travel…. this bag is for YOU!  I love the fact it starts off light so I can load it up with lots of things without breaking my shoulder.  🙂

A great shower gift or a wedding gift or for student heading off to college…..Who do you know who could use a bag like this???

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

How To Find the Perfect Sunglasses

In your search for the perfect sunglasses, the first thing to ask yourself is “What shape is my face?” Faces come in all different shapes and sizes, and not all sunglasses work with every type of face. Do you have a pronounced chin? An angular jawline? Small, delicate features? Yep, sunglasses were made to help you see, but they were also made to be seen in. Make sure you’re in the style that helps you look your best! (Hint: It’s all about balance!)

Round Face? Avoid circular frames! Angles are better.

If the width of your face is about the same length as its height, then you have a round face. People with round faces tend to have softer, less dramatic features, so they need frames that add angles and definition. Square frames like wayfarers are a good choice, while round shapes should be avoided. Anything which actually mimics the shape of a round face only makes it look even rounder.

Square face? Balance out angular features for a softer look.

Faces considered to be square have strong angles, such as defined jawlines and chins. These types of faces benefit from sunglass shapes which are rounder and softer. Additionally, if you have a large face, you should wear large glasses extending beyond the widest part of your face. This helps with overall proportion.

Heart-shaped face? Tapered frames are the way to go!

If you have a face wider at the top but tapers to a more angular chin, it’s considered to be heart-shaped. Unlike people who have round or square faces, those with heart-shaped faces want to mimic their features in a pair of sunglasses. Frames are typically wider at the top but curve into a narrower teardrop shape tend to look best on heart-shaped faces. Aviators are a good example of this style.

Oval face? Try them all, but keep it in proportion!

If you have an oval face, consider yourself a lucky girl. Oval faces have a great blend of features – not too round, not too square, not too heart-shaped. Any sunglass frame shape can work on you, as long as it isn’t too wide for your face or too big for delicate features. Ideally, the perfect pair of sunglasses will be the same width as your face. If they are wider, they will look out of proportion. The same goes for oval faces with small, fine features. If you have delicate features, frames that are big and chunky will overwhelm your face.

Once you’ve selected the perfect pair of sunglasses, you’ll need a nice carrying case, too! Our Pinch-Top Eyeglass Case has an exterior zipper pocket, a padded interior compartment for safe keeping and a D-ring attachment for a wristlet strap (sold separately). It’s sized to hold your glasses, keys, cell phone and more. Tuck it away inside your favorite Thirty-One purse!

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!
