Help Us To Make A Difference

I know school isn’t out.  I know you are thinking about summer.  I know the last thing you want to hear about is back to school, right?

People start businesses for many different reasons.  Many will say it is to make money or to have a flexible schedule.  While others have a passion not tied to money (believe it or not!).   It may sound crazy BUT my motivation for my business goes far deeper than being able to pay bills.  Don’t get me wrong, I need to pay bills.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others.  From raising funds for MDA as a kid to volunteering with disabled youth to being a social worker, I like to see people smile.  My business is no different.

I want to Bring a smile to face of those who are hurting and especially to kids because it is not usually their fault but the result of circumstances.  They need to know someone cares even in their darkest moments.

I have been doing give back programs since I started with Thirty One.  With the help of my family, friends and customers we have done zipper pouches for the Pediatrics Unit at Easter; Chemo comfort bags, and USA HERO zipper pouches for our Vets.  You have helped me to raise money for Smiles for Trevor, Relay for Life, Suicide Awareness and have helped families with medical expenses.  Together, we are making a difference in the lives of others especially women and children letting them know someone cares!

You know the “Back to School” campaigns which provide kids with backpacks and school supplies, right? These programs help each child start off the school year on the right foot.

Last year, we provided 31 children with THERMAL LUNCH TOTES filled with some healthy snacks.  Let’s be honest, the FREE lunch program doesn’t always have kid friendly foods. No hate mail PLEASE because I know there are some places with great meals but let’s be honest, not all of them do.

We will be doing this AGAIN this year.  For $20, you can sponsor a thermal tote filled with healthy snacks for a child in need. If you want to help BUT you don’t have $20, donate what you can – $1, $2, $5, or $10. Maybe finances are tight BUT you know a business who may want to help, GREAT! Let me know or forward this information to them. I will supply a list of business sponsors in every thermal tote along with blogging about them – FREE advertising for helping out a great cause. Where else could they get FREE advertising for $20 or $40?

Won’t you help to make a difference today?  You can fill out the form below or contact me directly. I will be happy to invoice you. Let’s bring a smile to the face of as many children as we can this school year.  The deadline is June 15th!

Have ThirtyOne-derful day!

Back to School?!?

back to school thermal no date

We are on the tail end of this month’s “giving back” program – FIGHT HUNGER Campaign.  We did chemo comfort bags and zipper pouches for our soldiers. We raised money for Smiles for Trevor and Relay for Life and we have helped families. When I began my journey with Thirty One, I wanted to make a difference in the lives women and families and you are helping me do it!  Because of YOU, my AMAZING customers, hostesses, family and friends – we are making a difference.

Okay, so I am sure you can guess where this is leading…. YOU GOT IT – we need more sponsors.  Word got out and I have had more requests than I currently have sponsors for so I am putting out a plea for YOUR help.  BREAKING NEWS:  We are teaming up with Haven/Beat the Streets in Ocean County to bring a smile to the kids who are living in motels/ shelters.  I am so excited about this joint effort.

So, here is what is happening:

I am providing THERMAL LUNCH TOTES to children who are currently homeless – living in motels.  I will be using my commission to fill the thermals with some healthy snacks along with tips on inexpensive ideas for healthy lunches. I mean let’s be honest, the FREE lunch program doesn’t always have foods that kids eat.  No hate mail PLEASE because I know that there are some places that have great meals but let’s be honest, not all of them do.

So, for $20, you can sponsor a thermal tote filled with healthy snacks for a child in need. If finances are tight and you can’t donate, maybe you know a business that may want to help, GREAT! Let me know or forward this information to them. I will supply a list of business sponsors in every thermal tote along with blogging about them – FREE advertising for helping out a great cause. Smiles for Trevor

 smiles for trevor

Happy Monday!!  I want you to mark this on your calendar for Thursday night, June 25th!

Let me tell you a little bit about Trevor:

Trevor was born with a cranio-facial condition called Hemifacial Microsomia. He is also almost deaf on the right side where he has no ear, and legally blind in his right eye. He has undergone 7 cranio facial related surgeries to help fix his facial bones that do not grow properly. Surgeries and hospital stays are covered under his insurance but the orthodontic portion to fix his upper jaw, is not.  Trevor’s orthodontist actually trained at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia and is able to work with his condition.

As you can imagine the medical/ orthodontist costs are staggering even with insurance.  Trevor’s mom and dad are like most who literally live paycheck to paycheck.   Trevor’s father is on permanent disability, and mom, Kim, works part time.

God put Kim in my life through a mutual friend who was doing a fundraiser for the family. I wanted to help.  God kept nudging me.  We just couldn’t get the logistics of a place locked in.  Kim was concerned that she had tapped her friends and family too much with other direct sales parties and didn’t want to impose on them again.  Then at a vendor event, we met face to face.  I got to talk to this incredible mother, woman and wife.  We came up with a plan and with the help of 2 other friends, we created “Smiles for Trevor – Ladies Night Out”.

I am excited to not only raise funds to help this family but to be able to bless mom with a few of her favorite products.  I have gotten to know Kim and let me tell you that she is an inspiration.  In the wake of their struggles, she remains positive – speaking to the Universe what she wants and where her family is going.  She has an incredible future in her business.  The Secret changed her life and as a result the lives of her family.  My hope is to assit them financially, spiritually and physically.  She helps me daily to understand the power of the The Secret.

Join us for a night of fun.  Bring a friend.  Shop with each of us – Thirty One, Dove Chocolate and My Creative Side Jewelry.  Each of us are donating proceeds or our commissions to help this family.  If you can’t attend, click on our sites and SHOP!  Just want to make a donation, contact me and I will help you work out the details.

Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday night! Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!
