Tasty Tuesday: Wicked Good Salmon Cakes

Today’s YUMMY recipe is from Rachel at Wicked Good Spice Mixes.  If you haven’t tried any of their products, you are missing out on some AMAZING things.  I am a HUGE fan their spices and love to use their flavored vinegars on my salad in place of dressing.  A little goes a long way…

  1. Drain liquid from canned salmon
  2. Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Shape into 6 large salmon cakes or 10 small cakes.
  5. Place 2 tablespoons of coconut oil into a medium size skillet and heat over medium heat
  6. Place three of the salmon cakes into the skillet  and cook for approximately for 4 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Flip and cook until other side is golden brown

Serve with Wicked Good Achilles Mediterranean Roasted Veggies.

The main reason the company was started was to show people how easy, healthy and fun it can be to make a delicious meal at home!  Rachel always thought the hardest thing about cooking is how much of this spice and how much of that spice you should add.  So go ahead and throw all of those spices you use infrequently and start using our spice blends! They are fresh and economical!  Our blends are perfectly formulated to use for just about everything you like to cook.

Renowned Chef Greg Manning from The Serenity Cafe in Toms River  is now using our spice blends and fruit infused balsamic vinegars to prepare some of his fantastic meals!  Greg now has three restaurants, The Serenity Cafe in Toms River, The White Butterfly Serenity West in Jackson and Serenity South in Wareton, Ne Jersey.  If you are looking for a great place to eat with friendly and attentive staff, look no further!  Eat Local! Happy Saturday Everyone!

I LOVE Tastefully Simple  and how easy it makes my life.  I also have found that I LOVE Younique .

So I have decided to team up with the wonderful Nicole  and Rose to host a BINGO event on Thursday, April 14th.  It will be held at Wurlitzers on Route 9 in Toms River.  Doors will open at 6:30PM and BINGO will start at 7PM.  9 games for $10.  Additional cards can be earned or purchased for $2 each.  Lots of fun and prizes.  CLICK HERE to get in on the fun.

Some of my TS favorites:

Onion Onion is the BEST way to add the onion flavor to a recipe WITHOUT the mess of chopping and crying. I use it is my meatloaf and chili.  I love that there is no chopping and complaining about my burning eyes.

Being gluten-free, I do like the GlutenFree Vanilla Bean Pound Cake Mix. I didn’t even know it was gluten free!  These are my top two but many of the TS products are staples in my cabinet.

As for Younique, they are best known for their mascara BUT I don’t use any because of my glaucoma.  I am really careful about any eye makeup.  I did find the Beachfront Bronzer and use it all year long.  Quick and easy for a glow that reminds me of summer.

So, mark your calendar and join us for some fun.  Want to know how YOU can host your own BINGO event?  We can do a FREE event (WHAT??) and you can raise money for your favorite cause. Ask me for the details.

Have a ThirtyOne-derful day!

Beauticontrol Extreme Hand Repair

Yes, the cold crazy days of winter have brought out the worse in my hands (an hubby’s).  I am happy to say that it is on the counter and we are BOTH using it.  The truth is that like most people, when my hands are soft, I forget to use this AMAZING cream.  But it doesn’t take much to remind me that it needs to be a part of my daily regime.

I was to this AMAZING (yes, that is my favorite word!) about 3 years.  My hands were  chapped and rough.  So much so that during the winter months, hubby always complained when he held my hand.  I tried lotion after lotion with no success.

One cold night I joined a group of direct sales consultants for coffee.  We were getting together to share some upcoming shows and our best tips.  Who knew that at Atlanta Bread I would find a solution to my rough hand problem.

Maggie, a wonderful BeautiControl consultant, offered us hand cream while we were talking.  Of course, I was skeptical because I had tried EVERYTHING.  I put some on and when the night ended, I headed home.  Never thinking about the cream or how my hands felt.

I got home and when I went to touch hubby’s check, he stopped me.  He expected my hands to be cold and rough.  He was SHOCKED when they were soft and smooth.  He began asking lots of questions considering he knew I had gone to Atlanta Bread.

I told him about the hand cream.  His response “Did you buy some?”  When I said NO, he told me to go back and get some.  He would even buy it.

I love telling that story because to this day, Maggie and I are great friends.  It is a testimonial to how wonderful the product.

Can you tell that I LOVE this stuff?  Email Maggie (spawithmaggie@yahoo.com) if you want to know more OR just CLICK HERE and order some.  Trust me, you won’t regret it.
